Story - A spider in the web

Mary had tried but had failed many times to stop her legs moving, but they often got carried away with her, not giving her time to think. Possessively, they took hold of her, their leverage the many lives that she had lived in the past. They dragged her around in tatty boots, scanty white dresses and masses of wild red hair floating on behind her. They had tried scanning her brain for signs of the people that had housed themselves inside her body, but still their tests came up with nothing.

Her scalp had been slowly disintegrating over the years of testing. It had weakened under scientific minds in collaboration. She could barely find what was left of the legs that had propelled her, for now they stood still on moving mountains of thoughts. They drifted from place to place, only existing on the websites of new age technology. Stuck in the programmers world, her scalp now fully biodegradable, smothered itself over the circuitry and resonated into the minds of the systems users. Suddenly the world had become a place of people with possessed legs. A propelled population by a gathering of disconcerted angels, transporting them quickly to places they had not wished to see.
